American Heart Association: Basic Life Support

Course Description: The BLS Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.

Card Type:  2 Year AHA BLS Provider certification card.

Course Length: Approximately 3 hours

Intended Audience: Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.

We are not currently teaching Open Enrollment classes in Nashville or Chattanooga!

The American Heart Association requires each student to have access to a current course textbook before, during, and after this course. To fulfill this AHA requirement, the student has the option to purchase the course textbook. If you do not have the 2020 guideline version of the student workbook with you at check-in, you may be required to purchase one before participating in the course.
