This 3 part course is a combination of online learning and in person hands on skills testing

 (This course may be used for initial and renewal BLS Certification.)

Course Description:  HeartCode BLS is the Association's BLS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-guided manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.

HeartCode BLS uses a personalized adaptive algorithm that sets students on the most efficient path to BLS mastery. Students follow a continuously adapting learning path that is personalized by their own inputs: their performance and their self- reported confidence level related to each probe. The course content is presented in the form of self-guided learning content, probes, and Cognitive Assessment Activities.  The student has a choice of completing a in-hospital and out-of-hospital contextualized track.

After completing the online portion, students will attend a structured, Instructor-led hands-on session that focuses on meaningful skills practice, team scenarios, and skills testing. 

Duration:  The online portion of HeartCode BLS can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours.  The hands-on skills session varies from 60 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the experience of the student.

Certification: 2-year certification accredited through American Heart Association

How to get started: 

Part 1: Purchase the Heartcode BLS online course HERE through the AHA. ($37.00)

(For added convenience, you can now purchase Heartcode BLS when you register for your Skills Check. A Keycode will be emailed to you from Code One Safety.) 

Part 2: Register for an In-person Skills Check off only session ($40.00)

You MUST bring the Certificate of Completion from Heartcode BLS to the skills check. 

You must have completed the HeartCode BLS online course & have a Certificate of Completion to present at your Skills Check.

If you show up to the skills check without having completed Heartcode BLS Online, you will not be able to proceed with the skills check. 

This course may be used for initial or renewal AHA Basic Life Support certification.

Certification cards are issued electronically via email within 48 business hours of course completion. 

Open Enrollment Classes are currently being taught at our Murfreesboro location ONLY.
